Óleo a espátula sobre lienzo ( 41 x 33 cm)

Algatocín es uno de los pueblos que se ubican en el espléndido valle del río Genal, entre las serranías de Ronda (Málaga) y Grazalema (Cádiz). La masa de vegetación , oscura y densa con toques superficiales de luz lateral, la he resuelto trabajando en “fresco sobre seco”. Sobre una textura oscura y rugosa de fondo, he aplicado pasadas ligeras y superficiales de tonos luminosos, tratando, al mismo tiempo,de crear una atmósfera general desde tonos cálidos próximos hacia los verdes azulados fríos más alejados.

Algatocín is one of the villages of the beautiful River Genal valley, between the Ronda Málaga) and Grazalema (Cádiz) mountain ranges. The challenge was the dark and dense vegetation in the foreground. I have worked it “wet over dry”. Over a dark and textured background I have given slight strokes of bright colours produced by the lateral incoming light. At the same time I have tried to create an atmosphere from warm to cold (green-blues) tones.
